Hesperos has been around in some form or another since January 2002. I got bored during midterm exams my freshman year of high school and made a website of my then-mediocre writing entitled Fathoms of Shadow, from a phrase in Mervyn Peake's Titus Groan, which remains a favorite book of mine. Fortunately, since then both my web design and writing skills have improved.

I was hosted on freeservers for some time, until Savannah of venus-atmosphere.com offered to host me in summer 2002. I lived there, blissfully, for nearly two years. Savannah decided not to renew the domain, and so I moved in with Aimee, who'd been my friend for years, at sweet-muse.org. I changed the site around a bit then, making it center more around my writing and changing the name to Hesperos, Latin for "evening star." About a year after that, this spring, Aimee decided not to renew sweet-muse, so I moved in with Alex at wordsthatkill.org. Unfortunately, a server crash killed the domain and his account got suspended, so I was homeless for a few months, until Paige took me in here at starless-eyes.net.

Savannah now lives at Spiral-Staircase & Aimee at Livejournal.
